LINEN EMBROIDERED SHIRT FONTAN SLIZ

An oversized linen blouse featuring white-on-white embroidery.

This piece is dedicated to the Fountain of Tears, a poetic monument located in the Khan’s Palace in Bakhchysarai. According to legend, the fountain is a “weeping” stone ordered by Khan Krym Geray to be built in memory of his lost love. The embroidery on the blouse echoes the marble bas-reliefs of the Fountain of Tears. Its silhouette incorporates elements of the monument.

The unique neckline mirrors the shape of the basins, while the horizontal pleats across the front resemble flowing streams of water. The blouse features voluminous sleeves and two front vents that ensure freedom of movement.
